The Monday Night Club is always on the look-out for experienced volunteers. We offer first aid and safe-guarding training and are happy to provide references after we have got to know you.
What our volunteers do
We expect our volunteers to encourage our members to enjoy their evening at the Club. To help them to join in — with dancing, playing games, talking to other members and generally making sure they are not sitting on their own (unless they prefer to do so).
The Monday Night Club is a sociable and flexible environment and roles can be adapted around your individual skills, experience and interests that volunteers have. Our Chief Officer manages and assists the volunteers and allocates duties as they arise with the different activities every Monday. We also hope that our volunteers will be able to join us on our day trips during the summer.
A volunteer’s qualities
It would be an advantage for volunteers to have the following qualities:
- Gentle approach
- Experience of working with people with disabilities
- Interest in people
- Ability to undertake tasks as part of a group and as an individual
Our Football Club
The MNC football club also need volunteers to help with training and at league tournaments. If you like football and would like to get involved with the club you can find out more about it here >
